Meet Nurse Maria

Maria Furtula is an AHPRA Registered Nurse working in Sunshine Coast, QLD, Australia, (Registration number NMW0002291721).

Maria firstly graduated with a Bachelor of Economics in 2010 and then a Bachelor of Nursing Science in 2019 (see qualification PDF here). 
After exploring different pathways in obtaining a Cosmetic Nurse qualification in Australia, she decides to choose the most comprehensive option and devote another year to studying. Hence, in 2022, she finishes a Level 8 qualification in facial aesthetics; a Graduate Certificate in Cosmetic Nursing (see qualification PDF here), at the Australian College of Nursing, which is still the only TEQSA-recognised postgraduate course for Cosmetic Nursing in Australia.

As committed to continuous professional development, Maria has also attended multiple aesthetic medicine courses and workshops, provided by various educational providers such as: Aesthetic and Skin Institute (ASI), Allergan, Merz, Galderma, Teoxane, FaceCoach, as well as being currently engaged in a continuous learning pathway with Juv'ae. She loves attending cosmetic conferences in Australia and overseas, in order to learn from the industry experts and compare different injecting techniques during hands-on workshops. 
 
Maria worked as a Cosmetic Nurse in Cairns and on the Sunshine Coast, which led her to the establishment of ISSEY Aesthetics, now located on the Sunshine Coast, Marcoola, Town of Seaside.
